In 2012, a leading not-for-profit, community-based health system turned to InformedDNA to provide genetic counseling services as part of its genetics program for their patients. They continue to use these services today.
The primary challenges that we address for our client include:
- Meeting current Commission on Cancer (CoC) and NAPBC standards regarding genetic counseling and risk assessment.
- Improving the rate of patients accepting genetic counseling sessions among those who are referred for genetic testing, including utilization of a grant to cover expenses for uninsured patients and for those whose health plans do not cover genetic counseling services.
- Maintaining a high-level of patient and provider satisfaction in accordance with the client’s high standard of care.
- Implementing a genetic counseling program that is scalable to include medical specialties beyond oncology.
